About Mojahid Chowdhury

Mohammed Mojahid Hossain Chowdhury is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Port and Shipping Management at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh. Currently, he is pursuing PhD in " Investigating Sustainable Port Management Practices" at Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania, Australia. He has eight year-plus experience in maritime transport and logistics education and research. His scientific research has been published in top-ranked journals in the maritime arena like Marine Policy, Maritime Policy & Management, Maritime Economics and Logistics, Case Studies on Transport Policy, Asian Journal of Shipping & Logistics, etc. He presented his scientific outcome at at least six international conferences: like Australia-Korea Conference on Supply Chain Resilience- 2021 (Melbourne, Australia), IAME Conference- 2020 (Hong Kong), IMLA 25 Conference- 2018 (Philippines) and ICBM- 2017 & 2018 (Dhaka). He has been awarded "IMO Secretary General Best Dissertation Award 2020" for his best dissertation at World Maritime University, Sweden while he was pursuing MSc in Shipping Management and Logistics.

Mr. Chowdhury founded Centre for Transportation and Logistics Research, Bangladesh (www.ctlrbd.com) which is an excellent platform for maritime transportation and logistics research for Bangladesh, in particular and the world, in general.

Mr. Chowdhury loves to play with data. He applies different econometric and operations research models/tools to maritime transport and logistics and comes up with great contribution on academia and industry.
